Juxtaposition Of Generational Botches

I saw a kid today wearing this shirt:

Clearly this is what Charles Schultz was thinking.

And as I sighed, knowing that we – as a society – have begun to associate something as wholesome and pure as “Peanuts” with Internet memes, I realized that this was not necessarily a bad thing.  Honestly, this may be the ONLY way that the upcoming generation will be able to understand Lucy’s cruelty and Charlie Brown’s gullibility, clumsiness, and direct descendance from Murphy.  But at least they will still know what “Peanuts” is (are?), which means there is still hope for them yet.

… I am getting old.
